Shelly graduated from Shenandoah University with a degree in Nursing and is a Licensed Registered Nurse certified by the Virginia Board of Nursing. She built Loving Arms on her family’s 90-acre farm after the loss of her husband, mother, grandmother and grandfather all within five years. She truly understands that decisions are never easy and change is sometimes a difficult process.
Ryan Willard, AdministratorRyan began her tenure at Loving Arms in October 2006. She is honored to be named a graduate with Summa Cum Laude and is a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and has maintained a position on the President’s List during her curriculum. She is working toward becoming a Registered Nurse. She believes that nursing chooses you, you don’t choose nursing.
Shannon Brickey, Lead Supervisor of NursingShannon has been a core member of Loving Arms for over a decade. She began as a floor staff team member and is now the Lead Supervisor. She is a NA and Registered Med Tech.
Linda Durney, DRE/MarketingDirectly out of school, Linda worked as a model and actress in New York City but was soon married and had four beautiful children. She worked at Notre Dame Academy where she taught Hebrew Scripture, Speech and Christian Living. She volunteered for catechetical teaching at her local church and was soon recruited as the Director of Religious Education. This last experience helped Linda discovery how much she loves the Lord and how much she wanted to bring Him to others.
Toni Sigrist, Activities DirectorToni was born in Baltimore and has lived in Luray for 40 years. She is a mother of two, a grandmother of two and a great grandmother of two. She is a nursing assistant, Medical Tech and an Activities Director. Toni is a recent addition to Loving Arms.
Megan JaskulskiBorn and raised in Front Royal, Megan has been a member of Loving Arms management for several years. Currently, she is a Registered Med Tech/NA and holds an AAS in Business Administration; she is working on becoming a Registered Nurse.
Annette Kowal Tait, Art DirectorBorn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, happily married since 1963, with 5 children and 9 grandchildren. Annette graduated with a B.A. in Art Education with a minor in Psychology and International Business from Trinity University in Washington, DC. She has been creating art since she was about 10 years old and eventually began teaching art in Fairfax County to individuals with disabilities for 25 years through the Community Services and Recreation Dept. Annette also began teaching in several Senior Centers in Fairfax County, Reston Senior Center and Centerville Senior Center. Now, she loves working at Loving Arms Assisted Living, as well as teaching grades 2 -12 in regular classes from her home.
